Bob Wiseman 118 St. Andrews Dr. Cincinnati, Ohio 45245 October 9, 1980 Dear Robert Fabris (Publisher), I was pleased to see that you are continuing the ARCADIAN for another year. My check is enclosed. Over the course of 1979, you published three of my programs. It gave me great joy to see my work in print. I even received a fan letter from a fellow YAHTZEE addict. I agree that the dice should have been larger. I wrote the program while in Canada and had no available machine. My Trinitron resolved the dice tolerably well, and I was generally too busy playing to correct the situation. Ah well, one of the joys of the machine is snipping here, pasting there... Let someone else enjoy himself. I enclose a cassette with two offerings on it. I give you the right to publish these in the ARCADIAN as you see fit. On side one there is a short program that uses the "giant letter" routine. This is a math drill program that I call SPEEDO-MATH. All input is through the keypad. If your subscribers modify this very much, the letters will have to be moved higher on the screen to avoid wiping out the program. On side two I have included my version of MASTERMIND. The computer holds a four color code. Try to guess it. Enter the first letter of each color through the keypad. Each black is a correct color guessed in the correct spot. Each white is a correct color in the wrong spot. I wrote this from scratch. I wish you well on your endeavors with the Bally. I think that a machine language monitor in the Blue-Ram would be a worthwhile project. I have tired of waiting for a Bally add-on. I bought an Apple-II Plus in February and am very pleased with my purchase. I am now writing a series of machine language animation games that I hope to market. Thank you again for your good work on the ARCADIAN. Could you please publish how many subscribers there are? Perhaps you could draw more advertisements? Sincerely, Bob Wiseman
